The American People Are Fed Up with the Stonewalling

It's all about job, jobs, jobs!

The Republicans don’t care to make any progress. They only care about taking Obama down. They don’t give a shit about the people that voted for them. Most people that voted “Republican” are out of jobs and are fed up with the direction of the economy. Those same people voted for Bush, not once, but twice. What was the result of that? Take a look at the current state of the economy and you will get your answer.

Health care reform should not be repealed. I repeat: Health care reform should not be repealed. Repeat after me: Health care reform should not be repealed. We will not let those knuckle heads tear down what we have built up. We will not let them take away health care reform. We will fight tooth and nail for it. No one wants to be told that they can’t be covered any longer because of a pre-existing condition. College students don’t want to be told that they can no longer be covered on their parent’s health plan.

Tax cuts for the filthy rich? Say what? They don’t need any bloody tax cuts. They have already lined their pockets during the Iraq war. Does anyone remember that? While they were busy getting richer, the economy went into a tail spin, and now they are asking for tax cuts? Shut the front door!

Why should tax cuts be given to the wealthy? The first thing they will do is ship jobs overseas. Most of the secret campaign donations came from foreign countries, and those companies expect to be repaid via job outsourcing.

Listen to this! People want to go back to work. They want jobs! Do you hear me? They want jobs! According to you, Republicans, the people that voted for your tired asses want jobs and they want it now. They seemed a bit impatient with the little progress that is being made, and you are going to let them wait longer while you fight to repeal something that will benefit millions of Americans? Don’t you people ever learn? Will you ever learn? Gosh!

Obama got no credit for what was accomplished. He has accomplished more in two years than any other president, ever! You heard it right. Here is a list of some of Obama’s accomplishments:

1.   He averted a Depression by stimulating the economy. Republicans want to downplay it, but if those steps weren’t taken, unemployment would have been a hell of a lot higher. Obama didn’t get the credit because the economy is still bleak despite the small uptick. In addition, most of the money that was lent to big banks has been repaid. We don’t hear much of that, do we?
2.   Enforcement of equal pay for women
3.   Consumer Credit reform
4.   Health Care Reform
5.   Housing Rescue Plan
6.   Auto Industry Rescue Plan
7.   The very successful Cash for Clunkers Program
8.   Wall Street Reform

You can google to see the bucket list. It’s a pretty long list to boot.

I think the Republicans are jealous, plain and simple. What do they have to show for themselves? Hmmm, let me think. They started a war that was not necessary. They put the country in debt. They try to take credit for something someone else did. They lie about everything to get their way. Need I go on?

Well, that’s all, folks.

  2. Tax cuts for the wealthy is out of the question. That would add billions to the deficit. If the Republicans are so concerned with spending, they should be able to hold off on tax cuts. Wait until the economy can sustain it. Tax cuts for the wealthy is a bad idea. Bush did it during the 8 years he was president & it got us nowhere.

  3. Things happen for a reason. The Republicans fought a good fight. As the blog mentioned, they did not win because the people like them. The Republicans won because millions of people lost their jobs. Most of the voters voted out of anger.

  4. Obama & the democrats need to join forces & fight the good fight. From day 1, the Republicans went into fight mode. They had millions of dollars pouring in from rich individuals and big corporations. It's time the Democrats go into fight mode. Fight back!

Obama reached out to the Republicans for two years and all they did was kept saying "no." The tables are now turned. It's time that the president say "no" to the tax cuts for the wealthy. That's what got the country in the mess in the first place. No need to repeat those mistakes.

  5. No more bailouts! Tax payers can't afford it. No tax cuts for the wealthy either.

  6. Don't be surprised when the Republicans don't do anything either, they did not want to get in there to do anything. Their ONLY agenda is to get Obama out and block him from doing anything that will reflect him as a positive president. I wonder how people will feel when they realize they were shitted on again?

  7. Message to Obama: Where is the change we can believe in? I want you to fight the Republicans tooth and nail. Push back. Stop letting them steam roll you. Show some gusto! Fight, fight, fight! Most Democrats stayed home because you did not fight for them. They want jobs. Yes, it's that simple. They want JOBS. People will rally behind you if you fight. Don't lose hope.

  8. Boehner, the current speaker of the house, can cry up his ass if he wants to. I ain't buying it. He came off as fake. He cried for those rich people on Wall St too. He reminds me of a spoiled kid asking for a freaking lollipop. If the kid does not get his sugar rush, he cries like it's the end of the world. I don't trust Boehner. He wants to ship jobs overseas. He voted against extending unemployment. That being said, Obama should take it as a sign and shove his non compromising attitude right back up his ass. I and many others will be cheering on the sidelines. The American people deserve better.

  9. Mr President, these are your own words:

"If Republicans win, they will spend the next two years fighting for the very same policies that led us to this recession in the first place." Here are those failed policies: There will be no accountability for Wall Street, power for oil and insurance giants, and record cuts in education. Mr. President, if you believe those things, just like the Republicans, then stand by your principles. Just say "no!" It's that simple. You complained about their bad polices, so you should not embrace them. They aren't your policies. Just say hell no!

  10. Obama needs to stand up and fight the bullies. The Republicans are a bunch of cowards and cry babies. Boener is one of the biggest cry babies out there. They are all a bunch of punk ass bitches. Don't give in Obama! Don't do it!

  11. Some people wanted instant gratification. Being out of a job for over a year is painful. Not many people can be hopeful when they can't put food on the table.

  12. I am neither Republican nor Democrat. Re: Tax Cuts, I hear that tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans will cost about 700 billion dollars. I also hear that the money is not in the budget. The county is in debt. Here is an idea that I think will work out for everyone. Renew tax cuts for the middle and working class because they are hurting more than anyone else. In about two years, hopefully the economy will pick up, revisit tax cuts for rich folks. Wealthy Americans are not exactly hurting for money. They don't even have to work for a living if they choose not to. That is not the case with the little people. I am one of those little people that is hurting.

  13. Please make use of the "Lame Duck" session. Middle Class tax cuts should be on the table as well as Unemployment Insurance. Have a heart, Please. One more thing: Don't Ask Don't Tell.

It's time to re-energize your base. It's time to draw a line in the sand. Middle and working class Americans are suffering. They have to work for a living. They don't have a trust fund. Please do the right thing. Don't forget the people who actually supported you and worked their asses off. I'm just saying.

  14. if the dummies that they call republicans think that people voted for them so that they could give rich folks tax cuts they are more delusional than I thought. most of us voted were tired of being unemployed. i had friends that stayed home. they didn't know how to put food on the table. the election was the last thing on their minds. those republicans need to stop acting like idiots. people are not buying the koolaid. If they went around telling people to vote for them so that they could give rich people tax cuts they would have been laughed at. they played on people's fears especially those old racist white folks and most unemployed people. the republicans think that if they keep repeating the same things over and over again people will end up believing it. what got these republicans elected was millions of dollars donated from big corporations so they could use the money to play on people's fears. they had people thinking that the health care reform would kill grandma. if those republicans are so against health care, why are they accepting gov't run health care. don't be hypocrites. buy their own health plan if they think gov't run health care is so bad.

  15. Those rich selfish Republicans decided not to extend Unemployment insurance. They would rather give the super rich tax cuts. What else are they willing to withhold from middle class Americans just so they can give the super rich tax cuts. I would like to know the answer to that one.

We went to vote for those idiots to get slapped in the face? Just you wait until the next election cycle. They will pay dearly. I should have listened to my friends when they warned me not to vote for any of them. They cannot be trusted.

  16. The Republicans won't compromise so why should Democrats compromise. The Republicans don't know what the word "compromise" mean. It is not in their vocabulary.

  17. Where is the tax cut for the middle class? The Republicans are obviously playing politics. They don't give a crap about the middle class. There is a huge gap between the rich and poor. Giving tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans would drive the gap even further.

During the 90's, Bill Clinton raised taxes on the richest Americans, and about 23 million jobs were created. Alternatively, Bush cut taxes for the richest Americans, and there was no job growth for the remainder of his term. Why are we trying to repeat those same mistakes Bush made, especially during the worse economic times? It makes no bloody sense.
